It has been a cold week.  This is the first winter our water box has frozen and it is a bit painful.  Happy to have loads of fresh snow to melt.

We can catch drops of water from the tap in the crawl space for drinking.

We melt pots of snow on the stove.  The boys say they love having the water frozen, they can carry in pots of snow (yeah, two times and then it is a drag, right).

Chipped away ice, thinking it would help but it didn't so far.

Way up from our house in the cold shady forest.  Guess after this we join the folks who leave an outside tap running all winter so everything doesn't freeze up.

Hoping this doesn't last weeks or months.
