Smokey Arrival

Baked Oatmeal.  A big hit around here.  Served with fresh raw goat kefir, a dollop of maple syrup & a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Meet our Smokey.  We decided to just drop in to the SPCA, came home with the fluffiest, softest, sweetest cat I have ever encountered.  He is a purring machine!  His domain thus far is upstairs in the bedroom.  He was rescued from the big fire at 'The Kerr' in Nelson last month.  Hence the name Smokey, as well he looks like smoke.  The original name was 'Angel', he is between 7-10 months old.  He has amazing yellow eyes that look frightening in this photo, but I bet we'll have loads of photos of him to come in the future.  He loves the boys too, we are so pleased to have found a good cat.
