Today we brought 3 of our older sussex hens across the river to "the chicken killer" as we like to say. We were going to do in the 6 oldest ones but because they are still laying and we'll have some extra visiting people around this summer we kept the kinder of the flock. So we ate Pecker for lunch, haha. She was chewy. Joel spits in the face of the 100 mile diet, he is all about the 10 foot diet. Good one, JB!
We opened up the chicks area into the big hen area and are crossing our fingers for no conflict. So far so good.
I figured out how to change some settings on this blog, so everyone can leave a comment! Hope to hear from y'all!
Oh Sev is getting to be such a big boy! That sure happens soooo fast. I can't wait to meet him and have him pull my hair! haha!

ReplyDeleteThese aunties need to meet this young man! I know it'll be soon...is this year on ultimate high speed or what? Well we hope to visit our families both east and west this year anyhow.
ReplyDeleteWow, Seve seems to have progressed so much even since our visit at the beginning of the month. I think he's anxious to get in there with his brothers!
