Cob Oven Inspiration

We are hosting a cob oven workshop here in a couple of weeks. An old friend of ours is a natural builder/plaster master and she asked us if we wanted to have a workshop, & yes, we do!! We dropped by her place to see what we need to have prepared, the base that the oven sits on. She built this one for herself. details...

A glimpse of the house she is working on. This addition is made of clay and wood chips, still needs plastering...earthen floors. It felt air conditioned in there on this almost 40 degree day. It is real craftsman work, we were inspired. We visited another farm in the area where they built a cob oven recently and got a few more tips as well.
