Decked Out!

These days have been hot, almost 40 degrees! So we are loving this river and the shady pergola. Tonight the boys had to go jump in to cool off before they went up for bed, they went up cold into their really warm beds.

Note to self, this is the week Coco has been a bit sick with a fever, lethargy and not eating much. She is acting like an old dog which has been great for us to get a break from her nipping puppy ways.

The boys noticed the cherries were ripening and tried to climb up to eat them (I'm sure worms and all), they climbed really high, way too high in fact...

"Mama, I can't move my body anywhere..." Yeah, stuck.So I gave it a shot but was feeling like I would break my neck so I got Papa...

Who courageously snatched him...But the kid jumped at him and so they both came tumbling down...
And mama ran to help them so that is the last in that series of photos which I love.

Oh sweet deck there...

Yes, today the deck went up! We had wanted a covered deck but it just wasn't going to work out. We decided to just put up a deck and brainstorm from here. This is on the south side of the house. I hope to put in a big floor to ceiling window where the small middle window is when that room turns into part of our living room.

I sewed some curtains from my hemp linen, pretty rustic but beautiful to me...
