Apple Cake

Sad looking apples, but from our own tree!

We were craving this after reading a book called Apple Cake.  The book is beautiful & then has a recipe on the back.  It is scrumptious.  The boys helped every step of the way.

The garden hasn't slowed down too much though we are obviously nearing the end.  Here is today's haul.

We got this Leonardo Da Vinci catapult and put it all together, things are flying through the air constantly.

Here is the beginning of the marigold dye pot.  We are dyeing silk capes of light and bravery for Michaelmas.  The house smelled amazing brewing this up.
