Fresh back from a long road trip visiting family.  Found room in the car to put the spinning wheel I inherited.  This was my great great grandmother's, brought from Sweden with her when she moved here.  My great uncle shed some tears when he presented it to me, he was so happy to see it find a home where it will be loved & cherished & valued... it will.
My parents farm.

Walks & picnics...

Tractor rides...

Forest walks...

Wild blueberries...

The barn grandpa built...

The garden situated where grandpa used to keeps the cows, the vegetables are so big it is like a joke.

Atti caught a fish!
(the Fur Lakes)

And everywhere we went we just ate, it is all about food.

And some swimming too.

  5. Oh, that wheel! How come we haven't talked about that yet, my friend? Seriously, it looks almost exactly like my great great great grandmother's wheel from Norway that I inherited a few years ago. I haven't used it yet, but oh, we must sit and spin and conjure our old maternal ancestors together. Ack ~ I'm so excited for you!!! And really now, the lake is called Fur Lakes?!! How funny is that! Well, almost as funny as littlest in the life jacket. Hilarious. And way to go big fella with the fish! Oh, I'm calling you in the morning about that wheel!!!
